* Our team invites resumes from suitable candidates to fulfill a role of Financial Engineer in the implementation team.
The role will report into the principle financial consultant and will focus on implementing Risk Management Solutions offered by our solution. Key to the position is knowledge transfer and communication. You will be responsible for taking newly developed or upgraded software and implementing it in a real world context. This requires working closely with various experts and applying your business and financial skills to gathering requirements, devising plans and participating with multifunctional teams to execute these plans. Accordingly, the successful candidate must display a keen interest in delivering solutions to business problems and an appreciation of the importance of knowledge sharing.
[Responsibilities]
- Involvement at all stages of project implementations, from scope definition through to acceptance testing while working within a multi-disciplinary team of integration engineers, project managers and other financial engineers.
- Ability to lead gathering, overseeing, and implementing financial/risk/business requirements with direct relationship with the client.
- Work with clients and prospects to gather and document business requirements.
- Design solutions to address client business requirements.
- Assisting clients implement firm-wide risk management processes and applications.
- Interprets contracts (SOW’s) to ensure compliance with and fulfillment of clients obligations.
[Skills and Qualifications]
- Solid understanding of financial economics, actuarial models, financial mathematics, optimization and statistics.
Topics of expertise required include financial instrument pricing (e.g. derivatives, bonds, equities and exchange rates), stochastic calculus, interest rate models, optimization and probability theories.
- Solid knowledge and experience of one or more of (a) market risk, (b) credit risk, (c) liquidity risk and liquidity regulatory requirements, (d) financial industry regulatory requirements in Brazil and Mexico.
- Strong presentation and communication skills; the role requires delivering complex presentations to varied audiences ranging from quantitative experts and technology consultants to senior management of financial institutions. Clearly communicates efficiently and professionally to peers and manager.
- Ability to discuss complex multi-solution technical/functional issues at a level to suit the audience using appropriate language and concepts.
- Team-oriented, with ability to effectively build relationships both externally and internally.
- Strong and proven investigation and problem solving skills. Our solution - Risk Analytics clients face complex real world challenges and versatility in problem solving across domains is needed.
[Work Experience]
- 3+ years related financial industry experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
